History of the Bank

Sri Vasavamba Co-Operative Bank was Established on 24-03-1912 by the Legend and Arya Vysya Leader of Arakalagud Sri A.V. Nanjunda Setty in the Name of "Sri Vasavamba Poshitha Anyonya Sahakara Sangha Niyamitha". The Sangha was Registered and Started its Business with a Small Amount of Rs.16,000/-.

Then it was Gradually Converted into SAHAKARI SANGHA on 06-09-1923 and changed as "SRI VASAVAMBA CO-OPERATIVE BANK LIMITED" and Started Banking Business with the Area of Operation for Holenarasipur, Arakalagud, and Channarayapatna Taluk. Now, it was vested the Area of Operation to HASSAN District except Alur Taluk.

On 19-06-2014 ARAKALAGUDU Branch was Started Banking Business and has given Service to its Customers.

On 27-12-2023 Channarayapatna Branch was Started Banking Business and has given Service to its Customers.

The Bank was Celebrated Silver Jubilee on 23-05-1965, Diamond Jubilee on 24-04-1974, Platinum Jubilee on 24-04-1995. And Celebrated CENTENARY JUBILEE on 26 and 27th of October 2013.

One More Feather to our Bank that We have Achieved Rs. 100 Crore Deposits as on 31-12-2022.

The Bank has Presently rendering Services of NEFT / RTGS, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking, Tab Banking and UPI Services ATM, RECYCLER at Both Branches.

Our Holenarasipur and Arakalagud Both Branches have been Awarded as "BEST CO-OPERATIVE BANK" Under Co-Operative Week conducted by Hassan Co-Operative Union, Hassan. The Bank is 'A' Graded by Statutory Audit conducted every year.

Recently NAFCUB of New Delhi has Recognized Our Bank and Awarded by Home Minister Mr. Amith Shah which have cross 100 years

We have Rendering the Best Service to all Customers of the Bank and expecting much more Co-operation from the Public.

Our Bank was awarded by Processware system pvt ltd., Bangalore as utilization of fully Digital channel.
